Hi, I’m Gareth, I have been working in the wedding industry for 21 years, but my hairdressing career Started at the young age of 16 in the Northeast. In 1997 I Moved to the Lakes, where I met my partner, Stewart and together we created Aqua The Salon.

Creating wedding styles is one of my favourite things and I take much of my inspiration from various fashion and bridal magazines and through my photoshoots.

My favourite aspect of styling wedding hair on the day is making sure everyone is happy and the wedding day goes smoothly but most importantly, the day of the wedding is fun. I love the excitement and buzz of the day.

My hairstyles have featured on many tv shows including channel 4s “4 weddings” and “18 kids and counting”. I was also asked to style hair and wigs for Victoria wood on one of her theatre productions.

One of my best moments was working on London fashion week in collaboration with label m, toni and guy and Revlon. And feel this has given me the knowledge and experience of creating wedding hair from soft curls to half up half down to something more intricate.

I am proud to have my work on the front cover of wedding magazines including unveiled and belle bridal and to have also styled hair all over Europe including Tuscany and Poland.
